Eurovea
Eurovea has been designed as a new river-front district in the heart of Bratislava, effectively extending the boundaries of the existing historic city centre to the Danube. The Danube river-front is an asset to the city which, until now, has been underutilised. Eurovea will integrate the riverside area with the city centre and address the shortfall of city centre retail, leisure and entertainment space. The development will also provide much needed office, residential and hotel accommodation as well as the largest underground parking facility in Bratislava.
Designed not to compete with, but to complement the facilities offered by the historic centre, Eurovea will nonetheless become a destination in its own right, offering a vibrant retail and leisure environment unparalleled in Central Europe. Eurovea will feature the best of modern design and architecture whilst remaining sensitive to the historic and cultural character which is the hallmark of Bratislava. Eurovea is designed around a new public square which will provide a focus for cultural and recreational activities, and link to the new riverside park and terraces which will run along the entire length of the development. The Slovak National Theatre, which will be adjacent to the Eurovea development and situated facing the central Square, will also increase the appeal of Eurovea as a cultural destination.
